Katie Martin, fastFT
Katie runs fastFT, which is the FT's online breaking news service running 24 hours a day, 5 days a week.
Their aim is to provide the first hit on all the typical FT news topics: economics, companies, markets, politics and world news, and any other other quirky things in between, with stories written largely by teams in Hong Kong, London and New York. Added to the mix is a steady flow of markets analysis.
FastFT does not try to be as fast or as comprehensive as wires. That's what the wires are for. But they select the stories they want to hit and aim to produce snappy, breezily written stories for as broad an audience as possible.
Katie came to the FT in May 2015 after an 11-year stint at Dow Jones/WSJ, mostly focused on markets. In addition to writing/editing/managing fastFT, she also writes longer form news and columns, and creates videos and podcasts.
Refunds will only be made if notice of cancellation is given not less than 48 hours beforehand. No formal confirmation is given and attendees should assume that their places have been reserved.
