Simon Watkins is the City Editor of the Financial Mail on Sunday, the most influential tabloid business paper in the UK, boasting a weekly circulation of over 1.3 million, and an online circulation of many more.
Simon joined the paper in 2000 as Markets Editor, and was appointed City Editor in May 2013, since which time he has weighed in on some of the most pressing economic issues of the day, from potential repercussions of Brexit to the case for and against state aid for Tata Steel. Simon began his career as a reporter for Computing Magazine, followed by Campaign Magazine. He then moved to The Press Association, where in just over two years he rose from Business Reporter to Business Editor.
