Special Collections Workshop- Medical Collections
Mon 21 November 2016, 12:30 – 14:30 GMT
Discover new funding and research opportunities available through the outstanding archive collections at the University of Leeds.
Explore the richness of our archive collections, be the first to hear about Brotherton Fellowships and other new funding opportunities, meet expert archivists, network with external partners, and hear from researchers who have successfully used archive collections as the basis for interdisciplinary research.
The Medical Collections Workshop is part of a series of participatory Special Collections Workshops open to academics and research support staff from any discipline. Through facilitated discussions, you will be encouraged to generate new research ideas, which may form the basis of innovative or interdisciplinary research proposals.
This workshop offers the opportunity to take an indepth look at the Medical Collections charting the history of key individuals who played an active role in medical provision and teaching in Leeds. Hear from the Wellcome Trust about new Research Bursaries available for working with these collections and get advice and support on how to develop a successful research proposal.
