Special Collections Workshop-Showcase
Wed 9 November 2016, 12:00 – 14:00 GMT
Discover new funding and research opportunities available through the outstanding archive collections at the University of Leeds
Explore the richness of our archive collections, be the first to hear about Brotherton Fellowships and other new funding opportunities, meet expert archivists, network with external partners, and hear from researchers who have successfully used archive collections as the basis for interdisciplinary research.
The Showcase Workshop is the first of a series of participatory Special Collections Workshops open to academics and research support staff from any discipline. Through facilitated discussions, you will be encouraged to generate new research ideas, which may form the basis of innovative or interdisciplinary research proposals.
View and handle artefacts from many of the archives at this introductory workshop, where academics and partners already working together will provide inspiration, advice and guidance on how to develop a successful research project. Representatives from funding bodies will give information on support and specific funding available for research and partnership working.
