Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

Change affects us all, through climate, politics, religion, economics and our communities. In fact, all of life is change…but the pace of it today is so fast, it can feel like the world is going crazy, and maybe us too.

So how can we not just survive, but thrive, in these emotionally and spiritually challenging times?

In this conversation, interspersed with musical interludes, three highly experienced speakers discuss some practices that help to alleviate stress and rediscover a sense of perspective and well-being.

Sister Jayanti is a spiritual teacher and leader, a pioneer and an emissary for peace. She is the European and Middle East Director of the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University (BKWSU) and assists in co-ordinating the University’s activities in over 31 countries. She is also their NGO representative to the United Nations in Geneva.

Ginger Gilmour is an artist with a particular vision emerged from her life experience. She has had a very close training in the development of her creativity with the renowned painter, Cecil Collins. The seed of her vision grew out of the integration of her eighteen years of marriage with Pink Floyd guitarist, David Gilmour, the raising of their four children and the inner longing to express her own creativity.

Katie Ledger, after working as a television news journalist for the BBC and ITN for many years, has created a career as an author, developmental coach, conference facilitator and speaker. She works with organisations such as Apple, Vodafone and Xerox, helping people to get to the heart of the matter.

Jonathan Hugh studied sound engineering at SAE in London and went on to assist on studio orchestral recordings for film and television. More recently, in addition to recording and mixing for other artists he now composes music featuring the cello.
