Rodeemos el Diálogo and the University of Bristol invite you to join us for a special screening of ‘El Árbol del Amor’ (The Tree of Love) in solidarity with the indigenous communities in Cauca, Colombia.

At the height of Colombia’s internal armed conflict, children and young people from the indigenous Nasa community were among those caught in the crossfire. Many of them were recruited by armed groups and forced to take up arms. In the light of continued violence against these communities, El Árbol del Amor is a powerful story of love, friendship and resistance, written, illustrated and animated by some of those who survived.

The film will be followed by a dialogue with the director, Mathew Charles, discussing the themes of the film, the challenges in producing it and its role in the peace process.
