About this event

Join team SpecialEffect to run through the city of the dreaming spires in one of the most stunning Half Marathons of the season.

SpecialEffect is a charity that puts fun and inclusion back into the lives of physically disabled people across the world. Your fundraising donations will be helping to make a very real difference to people’s lives, most of whom face unremitting daily physical challenges.

The glorious city centre route begins on Broad Street, starting you off on the right foot near Trinity College and the Clarendon Building. Once you pass through the charming village of Old Marston, you’ll cross the River Cherwell and whip back around to Oxford University’s impressive Lady Margaret Hall, and then right again onto Norham Gardens. Finish strong back into City Centre, through Radcliffe Square and into the final stretch of the stunning Radcliffe Camera. There’s also the option to enjoy a well-earned drink in one of Oxford’s famous pubs afterwards – what’s not to like?

As a Fundraising Event Participant, any information you provide in this form will be stored safely and securely and we will retain it for an appropriate time. We put fun and inclusion back into the lives of people with physical disabilities by helping them to play video games.

By using technology ranging from modified joypads to eye-control, we're finding a way for people to play to the very best of their abilities. But we're not just doing it for fun. By levelling the playing field, we're bringing families and friends together and having a profoundly positive impact on quality of life.
