Specialist CPD Day - Assessing for Exam Access Arrangements

This one day course is aimed at those new to assessing for Exam Access Arrangements, or for holders of AMBDA or a Level 7 course in specific learning difficulties who want to update their knowledge in assessing for Exam Access Arrangements. 

The course will cover how specific learning difficulties impact learners in exams and the ways in which access arrangements can meet individual needs. We will explore using evidence to decide which areas to assess, best practice in selection of suitable tests and the place of screening tools, how to manage the assessment process and how to complete Form 8 Section C. There will be an update of JCQ regulations for 2018/19 and record keeping including GDPR.

Presenter:

Rachael McMullen spent 10 years as the SENCO in a specialist school for pupils with dyslexia. She holds AMBDA and an Assessment Practising Certificate, and is experienced in assessing for exam access arrangements. Rachael is now Education Manager at the BDA.
