Specialist Domestic Abuse Training (SDAS) - Rochdale

The Specialist Domestic Abuse Service (SDAS) Model is an integrated service model across Rochdale Borough for specialist domestic abuse services.

The model has been designed to establish a more proactive and preventative offer that seeks to minimise abuse occurring in the first place, or when it does, minimising the impact on victims and their families. The addition of a prevention / training requirement alongside a community development function will mean that awareness of abuse is raised amongst our communities, professionals, and employers to support earlier identification. This coupled with a comprehensive integrated service offer, accessed via a single point of contact will improve outcomes for residents.

The training will focus on the following:

• How to complete the DASH- Domestic Abuse Stalking and Homicide Risk Assessment.
• Safety planning
• How to get help- where to refer.
