Description

Many of the planet’s biodiversity-rich areas happen to be in cash-poor places. What if endangered species could, in effect, pay local communities for their own protection?

Jonathan Ledgard explores the AI methodology behind an ‘interspecies money transfer service’. By giving a value to a local species, donated money would be distributed to the local human community.

Your chair for the evening is Henry Mance, chief features writer at the Financial Times.

Join us for the last talk in the AI Science Café Series 2020 in collaboration with Czech Centre London.

Discounted tickets are available to Members and Patrons of the Ri. Find out more about how to join our community.

The doors will open at approximately 6.30pm, with a prompt start at 7.00pm.

By booking to attend events at the Royal Institution, you confirm that you have read and agree to the Ri's event terms and conditions.
