On November 24th Specifi bring their unique event to the Crypt on the Green, Clerkenwell, London. We have all the ingredients for a memorable event starting with an inspiring seminar "Biomimicry in Architecture" 4.30pm.
We then move into our Meet the Experts networking session with a complimentary bar sponsored by Eden Brown, before we take our event into the evening and our free specifiers dinner.
4:00pm - Doors Open for registration
4:30pm - Seminar - "Biomimicry in Architecture" by Michael Pawlyn.
Michael outlines biomimicry as a design discipline and describes a number of projects that illustrate what can be achieved using biological adaptations as a source of inspiration. He presents a new concept for an office building, a radical design for a data centre that uses a fraction of the energy of conventional approaches and the ambitious Sahara Forest Project.
Michael has many years experience including his work as part of the team that radically re-invented horticultural architecture for the Eden Project.
An internationally renown thought leader on sustainable innovation, Michael is one of a handful of architects to feature on TED.com. His TED talk has 1.4 million views and his book Biomimicry in Architecture has recently been updated and republished by RIBA.
If you can't make the seminar, join us between 5.00pm and 7:00pm for our Meet The Experts networking. Our friends at Eden Brown have kindly sponsored the bar so make sure you have a glass in your hand as you chat with friends and colleagues from the local design and construction community, the specification teams from some of the Uk's leading suppliers.
7:30pm Specifi Dinner - Free to all attendees
