About this event

This is a two part course Thursday 13 and 20 November 2025 and the sessions are for Coventry Early Years Providers only

Training delivered by Coventry NHS Speech and Language Team

PLEASE NOTE PLACES ARE LIMITED TO TWO PRACTITIONERS PER SETTING

Is the child using memorised phrases they’ve heard from the television, online, songs or from a book? Are they repeating back phrases or questions you’ve said to them? Are they repeating it back immediately or after a period of time?

Over these two training sessions, we will explore how children use chunks of language to develop their communication. The sessions will further look at how you can gather information from their experiences and parents or carers to tailor your communication and environment to support children who use memorised phrases to communicate.
