Meet up to 15 potential partners aged 30 to 45 at our popular, relaxed, and highly social evening of introductions — hosted by It's a Date, London’s top-rated dating events company.

In the heart of the City, just moments from Liverpool Street Station, The Otherist offers an elegant and relaxed setting. A spacious, comfortable sunken lounge sets the scene for our speed dating event — the perfect environment for making new connections. Great music, a chilled atmosphere, an awesome host (though we may be biased), and excellent service from the venue team make this a memorable fun evening.

Our host will be at the venue ready to welcome you at 19:30. Please arrive on time for registration, to grab any drinks from the bar, and receive a summary of how things will work. You will be given an optional name sticker, a pen, and note card to keep track of everyone you’ve met.

Ladies will be seated on tables adequately spaced, discreetly numbered, and arranged in a comfortable area of the venue. When speed dating commences, gents will join ladies for 5-minute dates to get to know one another. Your host will notify all guests at the end of each date, signaling for gents to move to the next table in ascending numerical order.

During table rotations, you will have a moment to record on note cards your feelings towards the previous date and intention to reconnect, for your reference only.

Mid-way through the evening, your host will indicate a 15-minute comfort break to use the restroom, head to the bar, or socialise with new connections. Dating will then resume for the second half of the evening.

At the end of the speed dating the bar will remain open for more socialising. You can then access the event listing in your dashboard to enter feedback on dates and await your matches.

Do you have a balanced mix of male and female guests?

Absolutely! We work extremely hard to ensure a balanced mix of men and women at each of our events. On the very rare occasions we don’t confirm even numbers, we typically reschedule to ensure you have an excellent experience. If this happens, we’ll send an email with as much notice as possible.

What sort of people will I meet?

Our events attract a diverse range of people, which is one reason they’re so popular! The main trait that links all our guests is the age bracket. Beyond that, everyone is single and open to meeting new people—an excellent starting point!

How many people will I meet?

We always provide an estimated number of attendees in the event description, so check there for details. We understand that the more people you meet, the more enjoyable your experience will be, so we aim to reach the maximum number of guests at every event.

I'm just outside the age range, can I still attend?

We encourage guests to attend events within their age range, but it’s just a guideline. Occasionally, we have attendees who are a year or two outside the range. You’re welcome to join the age group that feels most comfortable to you, but please consider the expectations of other guests.

How does the post-event matching process work?

Straight after the event you will receive an email from james@itsadate.club inviting you to create an account. There you will view your event, other attendees, and be able to participate in the post-event matching and messaging process. A great way to set up that second date!

What happens if I can no longer attend?

We understand that plans change, so please don't worry! If you let us know by emailing james@itsadate.club at least 48 hours before your event, we’ll reschedule you to an alternative of equal value with no extra charge.
