Event description

Description

Want to share your ideas and work with researchers, and hear about what they get up to?

Been involved in with some research and keen to do more?

Or just want to know a bit more about the research happening in your part of the city?

Join us for some informal ‘speed dating’ discussions at the newly-refurbished Glasgow Women's Library. Over some light refreshment you can chat to the folks from:

– all located in Bridgeton's very own Olympia.

In the speed dating setup, you'll move around short presentations from these projects (or book your own slot to showcase something different). There will be opportunities to chat to a wide range of people to share ideas, and help us think through how the Social Research Hub, based on the top floor of the historic Olympia building, can work with local citizens and organisations in the East End of the city.

If you are involved in a project based in the East End of Glasgow and would like a speed-dating slot, contact jessica.watson@glasgow.ac.uk or call 0141 330 2296 - or use the registration option below.

4.00 – 4.15 Registration

4.15 – 4.30 Welcome and introduction to speed dating

4.30 – 5.30 'Speed dating' session

5.30 – 6.30 Open discussion and networking

This is event is free for all to attend, and light refreshments will be provided.

We aim to ensure that people have equal access to public events. If you have any special requirements you would like us to be aware of, please include them when you register.

This event is being organised as part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science, a national festival of events and activities celebrating the social sciences.
