About this event

This training session is for members of Wimbledon Windmilers only

Meet opposite the black door ("Lauriston Runners Club") in the wall at the north end of Lauriston Road near the junction with Southside Common.

Distance: Approximately 6-8 km (3.75-5 miles) + WU/CD approx. 5 km (3 miles)

Pace: Suitable for all paces/abilities as long as you can run the distance.

Session:

RAMP Warm-Up (Raise, Activate, Mobilise, Potentiate)

Easy paced WU jog from Lauriston Road to Home Park Road and descend to a red post box c.500m from the top. Driils/dynamic stretches. Potentiation will then be a reccy of the 2 km loop (clockwise).

Efforts are a continuous 2km clockwise loop utilising Home Park Road and Arthur Road. 1.5km effort @ target 5km pace with a 500m active recovery @ HMP.

3-4 reps.

Cool Down jog at easy pace back to Lauriston Road.

Toilets & bag drop: There are no toilets and no bag drop facility. Please arrive dressed ready to run.

Parking/Cycling: parking is available on local roads near the meeting point. Cycle racks are available opposite the Co Op store on Ridgeway - about 300m away. Please remember your bike lights for cycling home after the session.
