Speed Mating is here to remove all of the bullshit attached to modern dating to provide a safe, relaxed and fun experience with the bonus that you might find some chemistry with a new person.

HOW IT WORKS

Buy a ticket. Tickets are weighted equally between men and women. If you can’t attend, please give up your ticket as there will be a waiting list
You meet everyone present of the opposite sex in a series of seven-minute conversations.
You get a two-minute warning when your date is coming to an end.
There is a 15-minute interval to mingle and get a drink.
At the end of the night, you’ll be asked to fill out a card asking whether you’d like to…a) Date – if you’d like to see the person again romanticallyb) Mate – if you’d like to be pals but there was no sparkc) Neither
Post-date (the next day), your host, Nina will let you know your matches via text and, based on your contact preferences, pass on your details to your mate or date.
All date matches receive a voucher code for 15% off the total bill for their next date in the Red Church. The discount is limited to the people who attended Speed Mating (both people will have to provide matching codes- so we know it’s you!)

RULES

We know it’s exciting when you meet someone you like but please refrain from asking the other person for a follow-up date. The host manages this process to ensure no one is put on the spot or feels uncomfortable.
Speed Mating aims to make the experience comfortable and safe. If someone makes you feel uncomfortable or compromises your experience, tell one of the bar staff or the host in confidentiality, and we’ll deal with the situation.
If you recognise someone at Speed Mating and don’t want to engage with them, let the host know, and we’ll ensure you don’t have to.
We encourage people to enter all interactions with no agenda and communicate naturally and honestly by giving the other person their full attention for the full 7 mins. This means no mobile phones, or interrupting other dates.
Respect other people by controlling your language and volume and ensuring you’re sober enough to interest
Respect the host and the house rules.
