Event description

Description

The Spinnaker Tower abseil has become an iconic challenge in the Solent region, and the Rainbow Centre are offering you the chance to take part. Our exclusive abseil day will take place on Sunday 14th May 2017, with a limited number of spaces available for people aged 18-years-old and over.

This 94 metre abseil is a hugely rewarding challenge, especially for those looking to conquer their fear of heights. It’s also a unique opportunity to take in the incredible views across the South Coast.

To enter we ask for a £50 non-refundable entry fee and that you aim to raise a minimum of £250 in sponsorship for the charity. Each participant will receive a Rainbow Centre t-shirt which they can wear on the day.

The Rainbow Centre is a local charity supporting children and adults from across the South Coast with conditions such as cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s, MS and those recovering from a stroke or brain injury. We help people with these conditions to lead more independent lives using Conductive Education – an innovative system of neuro-rehabilitation, which is effective in improving mobility, gross and fine motor functions, independent living skills, communication skills and cognitive abilities, and also focuses on emotional wellbeing.

Every £250 raised is enough to fund two Conductive Education sessions for a child or adult at The Rainbow Centre.

To help you with your fundraising we will send you sponsor forms, online fundraising links and fundraising tips.

If you are up for the descent please visit the Rainbow Centre’s website to book your place or email fundraising@rainbowcentre.org
