Overview
Move, spin, and find stillness in this workshop combining Indian classical movement inspired movements to QawwalI music. We will explore techniques that will help us build towards repertoire which will include Kathak and Sufi-inspired movements and the flow of circularity. This is a space to reconnect with your body, move intuitively, and explore rhythm, breath, and creative expression. It's a space to explore, discover and have fun!
Open to all levels. Barefoot encouraged. Wear something that flows - a skirt, wide trousers, or anything comfortable that moves with you.

The space will be available from 10:40 for you to arrive, warm up, and settle in. The session will be done barefoot so you can stay connected to the floor and to your body. Wear anything that flows such as a skirt or wide trousers, something that moves with you and feels comfortable. The space will remain open until 1:20pm for anyone who wishes to cool down or take a moment for themselves afterwards.
Come with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to explore how movement cycles through your body. Spaces are limited, so please book in advance to join.
