Norfolk & Waveney Mind:

Norfolk and Waveney Mind is your local Mind mental health charity offering an extensive range of mental health services, along with associated training, advice and information.

Our ambition is to ensure that no one has to face poor mental health alone and with the right support and resources anybody can create a life that feels meaningful

We offer support services, ranging from personal development courses and suicide bereavement sessions to physical activity and gardening groups. We provide 1:1 talking therapies, counselling, residential care and access to employment services and provide mental health training and education for businesses, schools and individuals.

We also work in our communities to raise awareness and challenge stigma and discrimination. Our services support young people aged 14-25, adults and carers affected by mental ill health.

With over one in four people experiencing a mental health problem and 125 people choosing to take their own lives each week in the UK, the need for good quality mental health support, advice and information is vital.

As a local Mind, we are independent charity - we raise our own funds, and we have our own Board of Trustees who are responsible for how we’re run.

Being local we understand our community and tailor our services in response to what people need most.

The Feed:

The Feed is a social enterprise with a mission to motivate change in people to prevent poverty, hunger and homelessness in Norwich. Everything it does works towards its vision of ‘a community free from poverty’.

They support people who face one or more barriers to employment such as mental ill health, substance misuse, a history of offending and learning difficulties.

The Feed has several cafes where they provide people with work experience, teaching them new skills, giving them confidence and helping them on the path to employment and independence.
