Spirit of Adventure 2025

Two evenings filled with the best films that embody the spirit of adventuring, with live choral music, pizza and drinks

Designed to be seen and heard in the unique surroundings of Sheffield Cathedral, we once again bring the wild outdoors into the heart of the city with a unique curation of adventure films celebrating the "spirit" of adventure often found in surprising people and places.

Taking place on 14-15 November our hugely popular annual Spirit Of Adventure event will, for the first time, now not only span one evening but two!

Comprising of four separate screenings, two on the Friday evening and two on Saturday evening, there will be four distinct sessions with different films.

FRIDAY 14TH NOVEMBER

20:30-22:00 - Best of ShAFF #1 screening

As always, we try to champion and platform local-made/based films amongst a collection of international films, and we're incredibly happy to have both The Trail Camera and In It To Wing It (both films made in Sheffield) in our Best of ShAFF collections this year.

Continuing on the theme of firsts, this year we have also partnered with Revive Sheffield Ski Village (RSSV) to kick off the 2025/26 Winter Season with our very first local Snow Show here in Sheffield. With a ski slope, stalls with activities for all ages, and a DJ, there will be a lot of fun to be had around the film screenings.

A firm favourite for the setting is the live choral music by Chesterfield Community Choir on

Friday, and we'll also be joined again by Sunshine Pizza in the forecourt. With the Cathedral opening their bar, there will be plenty of food and drink available on both evenings.
