About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

There is increasing recognition of the importance of spirituality for mental health and well being. However, in many cases, there is still a gap between research and practise.

In this one-hour talk I will provide an overview of my PhD research into effective interventions for spiritual crisis.

Topics covered include:

  • An introduction to spiritual crisis (aka spiritual emergency).
  • The four main pillars of evidence-based support for spiritual crises.
  • The results of an evaluation study of the UK Spiritual Crisis Network.
  • The nine elements of grounding for integrating a spiritual crisis.

Followed by an opportunity for Q&A and discussion.
