About this event
Spiritual Explorers is a 4-part workshop series for LGBTQ+ people aimed to help them explore their spirituality and beliefs while gaining skills in community building and advocacy.
Across 4 online sessions we will be aiming to build a deeper understaning of our spirituality, our beliefs and our values through guided exercise and personal reflection. We will be comparing our beliefs with those of others and using interfaith dialogue to grow our understanding of our own personal values. We will also be building skills in advocacy and community building, aiming to leave the course with the skills to help us build space for LGBTQ+ people within our daily lives and/or faith communities.
Spiritual Explorers (SPEX) is open to people of any and all beliefs and faiths, including none. The course is not affiliated with any faith group and does not aim to advocate for any particular set of beliefs.
This group is free-of-charge and is supported by the Consortium LGBT Faith Fund.
About the facilitator
Marsh Ana (they/them) is a writer, community organiser and facilitator with an interest in LGBTQ+ issues, interfaith dialogue and death. They have run several initiatives around interfaith dialogue and spiritual growth, including 3 previous SPEX courses. They also run the Queer Death Cafe, a space for LGBTQ+ people to discuss and find support related to death and grief.
