Event description
How do we sustain ourselves in the pressures of life and ministry? Christian meditation and mindfulness proved rich resources

About this Event

Contemporary forms of contemplative prayer: a day exploring Mindfulness, Centering Prayer and the Jesus Prayer. We will experience these contemplative practices, in some times of shared silence, look at their origins and how they can sustain us in life and ministry. As well as for ourselves contemplation and mindfulness can be taught to others including children.

The day is open to anyone with an interest in this area, particularly those in some form of ministry ordained or lay

The setting is the Charterhouse an oasis in the centre of Hull, there is easy parking there or it is under a mile’s walk from the railway station

With Andrew De Smet York Diocesan Pastoral Care Adviser and an experienced spiritual director and retreat leader
