SPLAS FILM CLUB 2025-2026

The Instituto Cervantes, in collaboration with the University of Leeds, is proud to present a special screening of the acclaimed film Argentina, 1985 as part of the SPLAS Film Club 2025-2026

Inspired by the true story of Julio Strassera, Luis Moreno Ocampo, and their young, determined legal team, this gripping courtroom drama chronicles their courageous David-versus-Goliath fight to bring justice to the victims of Argentina’s brutal military dictatorship. Against overwhelming odds, they prosecute the leaders of the bloodiest regime in the country’s history, seeking accountability for the atrocities committed during the "Dirty War."
