Splatter Painitng - Paint like Jackson Pollack Art Workshop, Friday the 24th of May 2024, from 10am - 1pm

A rt is a great activity to encourage mindfulness, relaxation and of course creativity.

This term we are going to run a series of art workshops suitable for both beginners and improvers. These workshops can be enjoyed as either stand-alone workshops, or you can enjoy the continuity and join each workshop in turn. Together we will enjoy learning to paint with different media in a variety of different themes and styles.

T his workshop will include two sessions, you can book on both or just one of the classes, the choice is yours.

Would you like to try a different approach of painting and be expressive in your work ? Yes - then, the best way to explore this is to experience the painting style of Jackson Pollock!

Mostly known as one of the world's most famous artists during the Abstract Expressionist Movement he made a great mark with his "drip technique" and pouring or splashing paints onto a horizontal surface.

Should you wish to join us in this fun activity please bring a set of acrylic paint pots in different colours, wooden sticks, brushes (including old and spoiled ones), pots for water, larger sizes of paper and canvas or canvas boards. Please wear old clothes or an apron as colours will splatter! Most importantly bring yourself to enjoy this fun workshop supervised by our art tutor Marina.

T his class is suitable for complete beginners and those more experienced artists who would like to experiment with a different artistic style.
