Spoken Word London is an open-mic poetry and performance night for anyone to come and join in, whether to speak or listen. Everyone who wants to speak gets five minutes, but no one gets more than five minutes. Speak in whichever format you want, sharing your own or others’ work.
Spoken Word London is a community grown from a bi-monthly open mic night at the legendary VFD nightclub. It was founded in July 2013 by Patrick Cash. Since then we have hosted more than 150 events and given a platform to almost 3000 artists. This anthology and accompanying festival has been put together to celebrate SWL's fifth anniversary and was made possible by funding from Arts Council England.
The Anti-Hate Anthology will be available to purchase for £10 throughout the night and also online: https://spokenwordlondon.bigcartel.com/
