Spooky Fun in Devonport Park! An FDP Halloween Event.

Come and join the Friends of Devonport Park (FoDP) volunteers on the 25th Octover 2025 for Halloween-themed fun & games in our beautiful, historic Devonport Park! We shall have hot & cold refreshments available and a Spooky Kids Hunt in the park with a guaranteed prize for all entrants. Come dressed in your Halloween Fancy Dress & enter an age-grouped fancy dress competition with some spectacular prizes for those who go the extra mile! Fancy something a little different? Come and dress up your car in halloween finery & enter the Trunk-or-Treat competition to win prizes for the spookiest trunk! All teen / adult / Trunk-or-Treat tickets sol will be entered into a free Halloween Prize Draw on the night for an extra chance of winning a prize! And bonus - part of the proceeds of every tixket sold will go towards The Friends of Devonport Park's 2025 Fundraising campaign to purchase & install new Toddler play equipment in the toddler play area, as well as ther valuable causes in our park!

What's happening on the night:

• Boys (6-13 yrs) Halloween Fancy Dress competition [prize(s) tbc]
• Girls (6-13 yrs) Halloween Fancy Dress competition [prize(s) tbc]
• Teen (14-18 yrs) Halloween Fancy Dress competition [prize(s) tbc]
• Adult (+18 yrs) Halloween Fancy Dress competition [prize(s) tbc]
• Trunk-or-Treat competition [prize(s) tbc]
• various food & drink vendors and stalls.

Ticket types:

• children (13 years or under) £5 each and includes ONE entry into the Spooky Hunt & a guaranteed goody-bag, ONE entry into either the toddler, boys or girls fancy dress competition and a prize if a winner.
• Teen / Adult: £2.00 each. Includes ONE entry into either the teen or adult fancy dress competition and a prize if a winner; ONE entry into the Halloween Prize Draw.
• Family Ticket: £12.00 and includes up to 2 teen / adult tickets and up to 2 children's tickets and all competition entries accorsingly for each person.
• Trunk-or-Treat: £2.00 each (max 20 to be sold). Includes ONE entry into the Trunk-or-Treat competition and a prize if a winner + ONE entry into the Halloween Prize Draw.

Good to know:

• Trunk-or-Treat max 20 vehicles (first come first served). All entrants must arrive and be parked between 2pm and 2.30pm at the latest. Please enter via the Fore Street park entrance , observe the 5mph speed limit and follow directions from FoDP stewards. Cars can be decorated after arrival in the park. Please note that entrants must supply their own electrical power for their displays and safely and responsibly dispose of all rubbish themselves. Vehicles will not be permitted to leave the area until stewards inform them that it is safe so be prepared to remain until after the event finishes at 7pm.
• Every Adult / Teen / Trunk-or-Treat ticket will be entered into a free prize draw, to be drawn on the night.
• All Spooky Hunt entrants guaranteed one goody-bag.
• Fancy Dress competition categories: under-5s, boys (6-13 yrs), girls (6-13 years), Teens (14-18 years) and Adults. There will be prizes for each category.
• Hot and Cold refreshments will be available from a variety of vendors on the night.
• Advice: dress warmly, bring a torch and your spookiest costumes!

NB:

• Due to Eventbrite's maps the location of the event entered is close to but not within Devonport Park. Please meet at The Bandstand next to The Pavilion Cafe within Devonport Park.
• There is no parking available within the park (except for Trunk-or-Treat entrants) however there is plentiful free parking in the surrounding areas.
• All ticket-holders MUST display their e-ticket when entering any of the ticketed events.
• E-tickets permit ONE entry to the included events ONLY.

The small print: By purchasing a ticket for this event it is assumed by the Friends of Devonport Park that ticket-holders will be consenting to images of themselves, competition entrants and their vehicles being posted on the FoDP's social media channels and website. If you wish to remove this permission, please inform us beforehand using the email address provided. As Devonport Park is a public park, there is a chance that non-ticket-holders will be in attendance, however they will not be permitted entry into any of the event's competitions or be eligible to win prizes but may also be included in imagery posted onto the FoDP's social media channels and website.
