The impact of science and technology on sport will be under discussion at The Plymouth Athenaeum on Wednesday, December 7th (7.30pm).
Join Plymouth's former international athlete Katherine Endacott, sports scientist Lance Doggart and sports journalist Bill Richards as they put sports and science under the microscope in this panel discussion at The Plymouth Athenaeum Science &Technology Forum.
Entry is free and open to the public and the audience will get the chance to put their questions to the panel.
Katherine Endacott, the former Great Britain international sprinter, was a Gold medallist at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. In 2010 she was named The Herald Sports Personality of the Year and the BBC South West Sportswoman of the Year.
Lance Doggart PhD, who is the Head of Sport at the University of St Mark & St John, has a research background in sport science (biomechanics and interdisciplinary), injury prevention, technique analysis, statistical analysis and sport science support.
Bill Richards has worked at the BBC, Sky Sports and the Press Association and was the Chief Sports Writer at the Plymouth Herald.
The panel will be chaired by Owen Ryles, chairman of The Plymouth Athenaeum Science and Technology Forum.
