Martin Diggle, Sport Development Lead - The Football Association
Martin Diggle is the Elite Youth Coach Development Lead for the Football Association. Martin manages a team of 18 staff responsible for coach development in youth academies of professional football clubs and leads The FA Advanced Youth Award. Martin has previously worked as lecturer in Sport coaching for Leeds Beckett University from 2008 – 2010. Prior to this Martin coached at Bolton Wanderers Youth Academy.

Ross Hill, Head of Recreational Gymnastics - Leeds Gymnastics Club
Ross graduated from the Sports Coaching degree at Leeds Beckett University in 2010. Following his graduation he took up a full time Gymnastics coaching role in Shanghai, China. Two years later he became a PE teacher and Head of Volleyball at The British International School, Shanghai, Puxi.
After 4 years in China Ross repatriated back to the UK and is currently the Head of Recreational Gymnastics at Leeds Gymnastics Club. He manages a team of approximately 30 coaches to deliver recreational gymnastics classes to over 1200 children a week. He has also recently joined the teaching team of the BSc Sports Coaching Degree.
Emma Boocock, Graduate Teaching Assistant - Leeds Beckett University
Emma successfully graduated from Leeds Beckett University with a First Class Honors degree in Sports Coaching. Alongside this she won the prize for academic excellence and also a prize for my research project entitled “Coaches theories of decision training and their Theories-in-use”. She credits the course itself to shape her future career ambitions.
Emma has worked in a number of different organisations from The FA, conducting performance analysis with the England U17 team; Sports Coach UK as a Research Assistant; and finally as a Football Development Officer for the North Riding Football Association. During this time she realised her passion for research and learning and was successful in gaining an Internship role on the MSc Sports Coaching programme at our University. She is now undertaking her PhD in Coach Education and Development and teaching on the BSc Sports Coaching Degree.
The Careers in Sport LIVE event has sold out to the general public, but we have tickets allocated for students that haven't already booked. Wristbands will be available for all to collect from Fairfax Reception week commencing 25 January 2016.
