SportsPound "Couch to a Mile" - Beginners Runners Course - Kingswood

Would you like to start running? Does a 'Couch to 5k' seem too daunting? We understand this. Sometimes the most difficult step is the first one.
On this course we take you from jogging for 30 seconds to being able to run a mile by the end of the 6 week course. Ideal for improving your fitness or building to train towards your local Park Run. We even have a free walk programme so you can prepare before you start with us!

What is SportsPound?
SportsPound is a joint Sport England / South Glos Council initiative designed to get people more active.
Is everyone eligible for SportsPound vouchers?
To be eligible for SportsPound vouchers you’ll need to live or work in South Gloucestershire.
You also need to be over 14 and currently doing less than 30 minutes of exercise a week - although this does NOT include walking, cycling to work or, for school children, any activity in school.

What if I'm not eligible for vouchers - can I still come and is it free?
Yes you can still come but there will be a charge for the course of £10 payable on the first day.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
There are no ID requirements but all participants need to be over 14 years of age.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
The area is served by local buses and there is car parking near the site at Fisher Road.
What should I bring to the event?
You will need to run in proper sports shoes. Advice will be given about running shoes on the course. Sports kit that you feel comfortable in is recommended. This is outdoors and will go ahead regardless of the weather, so prepare for all conditions!
