By SAVE Britain's Heritage

Overview

Join us for Belfast history walk with from the Old Museum to Riddel’s Warehouse, led by historian Jason Burke

Let the streets do the talking as you explore Belfast’s history. Hidden in plain sight, buildings and street names reveal layers of the city’s past easily overlooked. Organised with Hearth Historic Buildings Trust, the walk begins at the Old Museum and features The Assembly Rooms, the Old Town Hall and St Anne’s Cathedral. The tour concludes at Riddel’s Warehouse, a treasure of Belfast’s industrial heritage. From its days as a bustling warehouse supplying ironmongers, through police ownership to its emerging role as a creative hub, it has endured. Explore and be inspired by this remarkable structure. Our guide Jason Burke is a Belfast historian, author of the Belfast Telegraph column Streets of Belfast and host of the Historical Belfast podcast series.

SAVE is delighted to highlight these magnificent buildings, three of which are on our Buildings at Risk register.
