Spotlight Casting Director and Agent Q&A at Edinburgh Fringe

Join us for a panel Q&A session with Casting Directors Simone Pereira Hind and Orla O'Connor, and Agent Paul Harper. They’ll discuss their work processes, shed light on the industry in Scotland, and answer all the questions you have! The session will be followed by a drinks reception.

About Paul

Paul Harper is the Senior Agent for the Scottish branch of Keddie Scott Associates Ltd, a London based talent agency. His clients are currently appearing in River City, Hollyoaks, Grease, Mamma Mia, Kinky Boots and Outlander, to name but a few. Paul has been the head Agent at the Scottish office since 2007.

About Orla

Orla is an independent Casting Director based in Edinburgh. She has worked in the industry since 2000, developing a strong, comprehensive knowledge of the finest acting talent in the UK and Ireland.

About Simone

Simone Pereira Hind works primarily in film and television. Her many credits as a casting director include feature films Elizabeth (starring Cate Blanchett), Jude (starring Kate Winslet), Hilary and Jackie (starring Emily Watson and Rachel Griffiths) and Spiceworld the Movie! Having taken a career break to go to art school and have a family, Simone returned to casting in 2012 and is now based in Edinburgh. Amongst numerous projects, she has been the casting director in Scotland for the series’ Outlander and The Replacement, cast feature films Moon Dogs and First and Only and is currently working on Good Omens for Amazon and the BBC and teen series Logan High.
