Tacye Phillipson, Senior Curator of Modern Science, will explore the social and medical history surrounding the practice of dissection, focusing on Edinburgh’s role as an international centre for medical study.
Sophie Goggins, Senior Curator of Biomedical Science, will then discuss changing practices and attitudes around body provision, contrasting today’s ethics, practices and beliefs with those of two centuries ago.
