Description

The Injustice of Trafficking

1996

Moldova

Mark Morgan will lead us on a journey as we ask him about 'Stella's Voice' the charity that has for the past 30 years been involved in helping to end Human Trafficking.

Spotlight

A place were people come together to listen, share and learn more about issues impacting our lives and those of people we care about in our community. Tess interviews real people about real issues and we hear real stories that move us and connect us together. A place where loneliness evaporates and a sense of belonging is experienced. Regarless of the headline the experince aims to give each audience guest a transformative experience a bit like a journey into the unknown and arriving on the other side fresh, awake and filled with hope.

Stella's Voice

By the time you leave our event on the 25th April you will have a deep understanding of the challenges and battles facing our world and communities when we consider 'human trafficking' and modern slavery.

Let's not deny the fact that this will probably shock and upset you. We are human beings and we have feelings that reach deep within, we want to feel good, be happy and have fun so feeling the emotions that relate to difficult situations, pain and suffereing of others is not easy. We can avoid thinking about these events as we feel helpless in their plight. In some instances if we can just make a donation without having to really experince the truth we feel vindicated, we have helped without it affecting us.

Knowing more and being in touch with what we really feel is a very powerful way to activate and bring people to life, in my opinion. Ignorance is not bliss its a breeding ground for guilt, shame, depression and isolation. The more we can learn about something the better position we will be in to lead our lives and make good decisions. Not just one subject but rather a wide variety of subjects so we can find a balanced perspective.

Now is not the time to get angry, or hide but rather to join in and have your say, share your thoughts and free yourself to learn more of the real truth and less about fake facts that aim to destabalise and confuse us.

I will interview Mark Morgan and Steliana Radu on the night we will hear shocking statistics, difficult stories and more importantly we will hear about the work of the charity, how it came to be and how many people they are supporting and giving life transforming opportunities too.

That is where you might be inspired in some way in your own life.

On the night there will be:

Interviews with:

Mark Morgan Steliana Radu Aurica Busuioc (live streamed).

Q & A sessions with Mark

One of the ways that Stella's Voice raise money to keep their vital work going is through their charity shops one based in Aberdeen on Kings street and the other up in Peterhead. The second part of our event will include an opportunity to shop and see what they have for sale, so if you are a keen creative looking for vintage, retro items this will be a double win for you.

SPOTLIGHT will be giving all attendees a shopping voucher on the night anywhere from £2.00 - £10.00.

All proceeds from the sales of goods will go to Stella's Voice.

Music

There will also be some entertainment as creating the right mood is something we think is really important, watch out on social media to find out who that will be.
