Wed 29 March 2017, 18:00 – 19:00 BST
Spotlight: Protecting your Idea. Introduction to Intellectual Property.
Everyone owns the right to their own creativity so knowing what's protected in your business and what's not is essential. Intellectual Property (IP) is any original creation that can be bought or sold. If you are a business person, an inventor, an artist or an author, IP will affect you.
In this session we'll focuss on four key areas of intellectual property: design, patent, copyright and trademark. There will be an introduction of each area with some discussion of how to recognize your IP and how best to protect it. We will then discuss some of the difficulties faced such as concepts and methodologies, with a Q&A to finish.
This is one of a series of Spotlight bitesize business courses that take place in the 2nd Air Division Memorial Library on the ground floor of the Norfolk & Norwich Millennium Library.
Booking is essential.
