A Spring Equinox Special - moving into the energy of the new growing season through yoga, readings, drawing, conversation, and disco tunes!
About this event
Regenerative Women on the Land are gathering for a Spring Special on Sunday 27th March from 7-8.30pm. Join us for a grounding session to reconnect with the land as it awakens, build community, and to refill our energy reserves in preparation for spring. And in celebration of Mother’s Day we’ll be showing gratitude to Mama Earth for all her gifts.
The session will include yoga with Jo Tytherleigh, a grounding exercise focused on connecting with plants - especially suited for land workers - with Emilia Brumpton, a voice exercise with Brigitte Rowan, readings, conversations, and as usual we'll round it all off with some dancing!
Who is the session for?
This is a women-centred* space for farmers, growers, crofters, foresters, smallholders, ecologists, gardeners, and nature lovers, welcoming those in urban and rural spaces, who wish to build connections with the more-than-human world.
What do I need to bring?
• Something comfy to sit and lie on (like a mat and a cushion)
• A blanket / cosy jumper
• A plant (it can be a houseplant, seedling or even a flower in a vase!)
• Water or a cuppa
• A pen or pencil and some paper
N.B. You don’t need any yoga experience to take part, all activities will be suitable for beginners and there will be no pressure to share. Come join us for a fun relaxing evening.
Suggested Donation
We have a 'pay what you can' policy, suggested donation between £3-£9 for this Spring Special to recognise the time that's gone into planning and facilitating the session. Donations will be shared by the organisers. Free tickets available for asylum seekers, refugees, and folks on a low income.
*A note on language and our use of the term ‘women’
Regenerative Women on the Land hope to create a safe space that feels accessible to anyone who identifies as a woman or feminine. In doing so, we acknowledge the many limitations of the binary language we are all collectively functioning in, and how this can feel exclusive of folks that identify as nonbinary or genderqueer, as well as for those who identify as men in this particular case.
Regenerative Women on the Land want to honour the full spectrum of what it means to be a woman while not reinforcing oppressive gender categories. We welcome feedback and collaboration to embed this in our practice and the language we use.
