Spring Forage - Ambleside
Sat 15 April 2017, 12:00 – 16:00 BST
Come and ignite, rekindle or stoke your passion for foraging and Wild Food as we explore Ambleside's rich greenery along waysides, waterways and woodlands during one of the best times of the year for the forager.
We will start in Rothay Park with a warming seasonal soup and a check in, then we will set off to meet and gather some of the varied Wild Foods in the area from spring greens to seeds, buds, flowers and maybe even mushrooms! We will then return to Rothay park to ID, prepare and cook up any finds as well as sample some of the many dried and preserved Wild Foods from the area that I will bring along. Everyone attending will go home with one of my large selection of preserved Wild Foods as well as anything that you gather on the walk that we don't eat!
Price: £25pp (Includes seasonal vegan soup, samples, and something to take home) - Children under 15: £10, under 5 free. Booking Essential. Bring a basket, a drink, maybe some paper and plastic bags. A knife or some scissors may be handy as may a camera, notebook and/or hand lens.
