Spring Forage - Kendal
Wed 12 April 2017, 12:00 – 16:00 BST
Join us in the auld town of Kendal from 12pm to explore the rich variety of urban foragables available in springtime. We will say hello with a warming seasonal soup and then take a long walk to discover the fruits of the hedgerow, riverside, woodland and scrubland. We will take in a lot of spring greens but we also hope to find many nutritious spring buds, flowers, seeds, mushrooms and other delights. Towards the end of the walk, we will settle somewhere comfortable to ID and cook up our finds as well a sample some of the other many amazing preserved Wild Foods that I will bring along. There will be lots of time for looking at Wild Food books, asking questions and sharing your experiences of Wild Food.
Price: £25pp (Includes seasonal vegan soup, samples & something to take home) - Children under 15: £10, under 5 free. Booking Essential. Bring a basket, a drink, maybe some paper and plastic bags. A knife or some scissors may be handy as may a camera, notebook and hand lens.
