Spring Forage - Ribchester
Sat 29 April 2017, 12:00 – 16:00 BST
The Ribble Valley is a great place for the forager and we will explore just a tiny part of it.
After we check-in with a seasonal soup we will take a walk deep into the woods along hedgerows, heath, river and fields meeting and gathering fresh greens, flowers, buds, fruits, nuts and maybe some mushrooms. We will then setup in a cosy riverside woodland glade to cook up any finds and sample some of the many other Wild Food preserves I will bring, everyone attending will take home a Wild Food preserve and anything that we gather on the walk and don't eat!
Price: £25pp (Includes seasonal soup, samples, cook-up & something to take home) - Children under 15: £10, under 5's free although the terrain is unsuitable for anything with wheels. Booking Essential. Bring a basket, a drink, maybe some paper and plastic bags. A knife or some scissors may be handy as may a camera, notebook and hand lens.
