Spring in the Heart of England Forest Arboretum - Guided Walk
Overview
Celebrate the arrival of spring with a guided walk through the Heart of England Forest! Join Forest Ranger's Sam and Lauren for a 2.5-hour stroll around the Dorsington Arboretum and surrounding woodlands, where fresh greenery, budding blossoms, and the vibrant sights and sounds of wildlife bring the forest to life.
Starting from some of our oldest plantations, established in the early days of the charity, you’ll follow permissive pathways and public rights of way, soaking in the beauty of the forest as it awakens after winter. Along the way, they will share fascinating insights about native and international tree species, pointing out seasonal highlights such as new leaves and early flowers, as well as introducing you to the wildlife that thrives in the forest during this time of year.
The Arboretum, home to over 600 tree species from around the world, offers a unique opportunity to witness the remarkable diversity of life that flourishes in spring. Whether you’re a keen naturalist, a photography enthusiast, or simply looking for a peaceful walk in nature, this event offers the perfect way to embrace the changing season.
