Date and time
Description
Girls in Tech, GeekGirlMeetup & General Assembly present 'Spring Into Code' in partnership with Twitter, MOO, and Venntro.
Girls in Tech, GeekGirlMeetup and General Assembly have teamed up to offer you a full weekend learn to code course at Twitter, London.
You’ll complete a crash course introducing you to the world of coding. You’ll learn what programming actually is and how the web works. Understand the difference between front end and back end build. Gain the technical language needed to communicate your ideas. Play with jQuery, Javascript and Ruby, three examples of the programming frameworks used by popular startups across the world - and by the end of the weekend you’ll have successfully built your first basic website.
The class is aimed at beginners with little to no knowledge of coding, with the aim of teaching you the core concepts and skills to start protoyping ideas or collaborate with engineers.
Alongside the hands-on learning weekend we will also provide a panel of inspirational speakers during lunch on both days, great food, delicious drinks on Saturday evening, and the chance to meet 100 other amazing new coders!
We are delighted to offer you the weekend for £50, usual cost being £275.
Note: Please bring your own laptop (Mac preferred, if available to you)!
With thanks to our wonderful sponsors - Twitter, MOO, and Venntro - who will also be present at the event.
