How many journals have you brought and never started - how many are just too pretty to write anything in? How many have you gifted away or hidden in a pile somewhere for ‘someday’

The Summer Solstice marks a move into energised more abundant time. Its a season for joy and grattitude as well as manifesting what you need for the remaineder of the year.

Journaling is a simple yet powerful tool to help you focus your mind, give yourself some time and to help you stay on track in whatever your intentions are for the year.

Helen (Wild Sanctuary) & Laura (Tiska Leathercraft and Repairs) are teaming up with a love of journals.

Helen is a Yoga teacher, Women’s health practitioner and wellbeing facilitator who has been running journaling spaces for over 5 years.

She will kick off this gorgeous afternoon with a sharing space dedicated to Spring. You will be inspired by the start of the wheel of the year and Ostara (Spring Equinox). Helen will share what we can learn from cyclical living and how to harness this power.

Laura is a leatherworker and also practises mindfulness. For the next stage of the afternoon she will guide you through putting your own handmade leather journal together, making the booklets, punching the holes and stitching the main body of the journal then creating a closure, using mindful practice throughout the process. No experience of leatherwork is needed and all tools and materials will be supplied. The finished product will be your inspiration to continue your journaling practise.

We will then finish with a relaxed and nourishing session of journaling together, writing in your newly created journal, along with yummy snacks and hot drinks surrounded by the gorgeous Peak District air.

We will finish with an opportunity to share your summer intentions and commit to a regular journaling practise for yourself.

You also get the added extra of a zoom check in - two weeks after our time together we will be coming back via the internet to share how we have found the journaling process.
