About this event

    Each evening of Spring Into STEM 2.0 will feature two TED-style talks by experts, offering interdisciplinary perspectives on the hottest topics in STEM. Our academic hosts will highlight how their cutting-edge research combats some of the biggest challenges our world faces - perfect for inquisitive young minds who want to discover exciting applications of engineering.

    Whether you're a teacher or supervisor wanting to fan the flame of curiosity in your class or community group by booking them in, or a young scientist aged 15 to 25 on the hunt for a deeper insight into the world of STEM, seize your chance here.

    Who is the event for?

    Anyone aged 15 to 25 who wants to find out more about engineering and a future in STEM. Individual and school/community group bookings welcome.

    What can I expect from the session?

    You'll be treated to two talks addressing the UN's sustainable development goals (SDGs), followed by a question and answer session with the panellists and a chance to network with speakers and audience members at the end.

    How do I get to UCL East?

    UCL East (Marshgate Building) is located at 7 Sidings Street, Stratford, London E20 2AE. If you’re travelling via Stratford Underground Station, follow the signs for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and walk through the Westfield Shopping Centre. We're just past the ArcelorMittal Orbital.

    Which room are the talks in?

    Spring into STEM will take place in the Marshgate Lecture Theatre. Don't worry, a member of the Spring into STEM team will meet you in the lobby of the Marshgate building and take you over. Any problem, ask the reception staff and they'll point us out to you!

    Will there be refreshments?

    We will organise some light refreshment for after the talks, so you have a chance to mingle with other audience members and the speakers. Please supply any dietary information when booking and we will endeavour to provide for your needs.
