ABOUT THE EVENT
Join us for our FAMILY OPEN DAY - Saturday, 10th May 2025, from 11am to 3pm.
The Open Day is FREE to attend without a ticket; however, please book in advance for Woodworking, Cooking, and Craft classes so we have an idea of numbers!
Come along to the Learning Centre for a day of activity:
- Woodworking with Graham - family woodworking & painting activity, make a spinning top! Children must be accompanied for these sessions.
- Baking with Yvonne - family session to make a yummy, no-bake lemon cheesecake.
- Crafting with Jo - lots of fun crafties for the kids!
- Send the wee ones over to paint some plant pots, pop in some soil & add some seeds, outside with the LC staff.
- LUNCH will be provided.
Whilst you're here, why not chat to us about our projects and classes, or come and view some of our Flight Path legacy pieces (3 piece mosaic, storybooks & bird feeders).
*This activity will be outdoors under a gazebo, please make sure you have/your child has suitable clothing for the weather.
ABOUT OUR TUTORS:
Graham Rennie is our Woodworking tutor, he has been with us for a quite a few years now running one-off sessions and weekly ones! A very patient and knowledgable teacher.
Yvonne West is our Cooking tutor, she has been guiding families through our Cook Together and Bake and Blether sessions over the last few years. A very organised and friendly teacher.
Jo Henderson is one of our Crafting tutors, she has been a big part of the Centre for many years now (as well as having worked here). She's very friendly and always happy to help people.
