Event description

Description

Have you ever wanted to learn how to forage? Or wondered how to tell tasty plants and fungi apart from the poisonous cousins?

Edible plants and fungi grow all around us in the city. Join us for a guided walk in one of London's finest parks. We shall learn how to safely identify 10-15 common edible wild plants (and maybe even some mushrooms if we're lucky) as well as how to prepare and enjoy them at home. From wild salads and soups, to herbal teas and pickles - there is a whole world of wild food out there waiting to be discovered.

The walk with last for around 1.5 hours and will be led by wild food guide, Michael Green, aka the Intrepid Forager (www.instagram.com/intrepidforager). Places are limited so please book to avoid disappointment.

FAQs

Who is this event aimed at?

Anyone with an interest in food, nature or foraging - suitable for beginners and those wanting to expand their foraging knowledge. No prior experience required.

Is this event family friendly?

Of course! Concessionary tickets are available for under-16s and students.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

15 minutes walk from Golders Green Underground station, plus plenty of bus routes stop nearby. Parking is available on nearby street (check local signage).
