About this Event
The Tree Musketeers and Hackney Council are planting 47 Japanese Sakura Trees in Springfield Park in January, and we would love you to come and help us. No experience is necessary - we will show you what needs to be done on the day, and will provide all the tools needed. The dates and times are as follows:
24 Jan (10am - 2pm)
25 Jan (10am - 2pm)
26 Jan (10am - 2pm)
27 Jan (10am - 2pm)
28 Jan (10am - 2pm)
It is important that you book for a session as we have limited spaces available.
Your booking commits you to following our following guidelines, so please read them carefully.
🌳 Mask-wearing is required except for those who are medically exempt
🌳 For those who are exempt, individuals must take personal responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others
🌳 Please bring your own mask and gardening gloves
🌳 If you are in a high-risk category for Covid-19, please use your own judgement about whether it is sensible to attend the event
🌳 No refreshments will be provided - please bring your own hot drink and snacks/food
🌳 Do not attend the planting day if you or anyone in your household feel unwell in any way
🌳 Please check your email before leaving for the planting day in case there is a last-minute cancellation of the event
🌳 There will be strict protocols on the planting day so please adhere to these
🌳 Names and phone numbers of volunteers will be shared with public health if needed for contact tracing and details kept for 21 days after the event
🌳 Volunteers must be over 16 years of age
Please remember your mask, and wear shoes, clothes and work gloves (if you have them) suitable for wet, cold, muddy conditions. We should be easy to spot, just look for our flags.
