Would you like to build up your practical experience and skills in gardening?
Would you like to learn about shrubs and pruning from first hand experience?
This is a rare opportunity to work alongside a trained horticulturalist, teacher and member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture in a beautiful four acre country garden near Chorley in Lancashire.
Sue will explain how to select the correct hand pruning tools and how to maintain them. Then she'll discuss the shrubs in the garden and demonstrate different pruning techniques, which you will then have the opportunity to practice.
Complete beginners are welcome and the group is limited to eight people so that each person can receive support from the tutor.
The fee includes refreshments and lunch.
Please wear warm, comfortable and practical clothing and sturdy footwear with good grips. We will be working outside, so please bring suitable waterproofs, if needed.
