SPRUCE Hackathon Leeds, Unified Characterisation
Monday, 11 March 2013 at 09:30 - Tuesday, 12 March 2013 at 16:00 (GMT)
Leeds, United Kingdom
What's it all about?
A two day, dev only, hackathon focusing on characterisation for digital preservation. This is a chance to hack with the experts and develop a unified approach to characterising and understanding digital data.
What does it cost?
We provide your accomodation and meals at the event. All you have to do is get to Leeds with your laptop and your best coding boots on. Note that we expect all attendees to join us for the whole event. Arriving late or leaving early is *not an option*.
Who is it for?
The hackathon is primarily aimed at software developers from the Libraries and Archives community, but we will consider registrations from anyone with an interest and enthusiasm for understanding digital content. File format geeks *can* apply here. Please drop us a line if you want to find out more.
If you have registered for the event and do not attend, you will be charged an administration fee of £50. Please do not waste our time by signing up if you are not serious about attending.
