In this momentus year for Tottenham Hotspur and as part of our 3rd birthday celebrations as a community pub, The Antwerp Arms Association is organising a Sponsored Tottenham Hotspur Walk in aid of the Mayor's charity.
The walk has been adapted over the last 3 years from a walk originally written by Spurs Biographer Julie Welch and we cover the fascinating history of Tottenham Hotspur from its early days (in 1882) on Tottenham Marshes to its new home in White Hart Lane ground.
This walk is peppered with fascinating facts and promises to be an entertaining and informative 2 and a half hour walk. We set off from Tottenham Hale at 10am,go up the River Lea, across to the amazing new ground, then to White Hart Lane and the homes of Bobby Buckle and Bill Nicholson, ending finally where it all began at the Church of All Hallows, just over from the Antwerp Arms, at 1pm
We need 30 fans or walkers to pledge £10 each (includes a free drink). All proceeds will be donated to two local charities ‘Mind in Haringey’ and ‘Studio 306 Collective’.
In return we offer a great day out ending with food and entertainment at the pub. Encourage a friend to walk with you - wear your kit and chant as we go ... COYS!!!
