Easier SQL Server Migrations using PowerShell
MIgrating SQL Server to new hardware (real or virtual) can always be a challenge. Remembering to migrate all those little settings and critical objects can be a tricky task. Luckily PowerShell and SMO offer plenty of help.
In this sessions we'll look at using PowerShell to do the simple tasks like migrating your databases automatically, ensuring that all your logins and roles have moved across, and also scripting out objects like SQL Agent jobs and Linked Servers which often get forgotten.
